Banana Ice Cream

Hillbilly had lots of overripe bananas last week. I bought 2 big bunches, peeled and sliced them and put them in the freezer. (I read this tip in a magazine - I didn't make it up)

Last night, the kids and I put them in the food processor, added a splash of milk (just to get it going) added some chocolate syrup and VOILA - banana ice cream. It was YUMMY! FYI: you have to process for awhile before it becomes smooth and you might let the bananas soften a bit before you start.

Try it!

Also use the bananas for smoothies which I do almost everyday - it is the most requested after school snack. Freeze any fruit that is starting to over ripen and throw in blender with soy milk or yogurt - so quick and easy!
